You might find this of interest: yesterday, in my Canadian Literature class, a girl asked me how Pat Lowther had died.  I explained the situation to her and, of course, she and her friends (other students in the class) were all shocked.  They are working on a question on Lowther’s poetry for a take-home exam.  They all said how much they enjoyed Pat Lowther’s poems and how deeply they were touched by them.  I think this shows that Lowther is a poet whose work will be read for a long time to come and whose work is making a deep impression on young people today, years after her death…For full report: www.poets.ca/linktext/newsletter
