Christopher Levenson

Christopher Levenson was born in London, England, on February 13, 1934. He lived in the Netherlands, Germany, and the U.S.A. before moving to Ottawa in 1968. He became a citizen in 1973. He was cofounder, and for ten years editor, of Arc magazine, and from 1981 to 1991 founded and organized the Arc reading series in downtown Ottawa. He teaches English and Creative Writing at Carleton University and is Series Editor of Harbinger Poets, a new imprint of Carleton University Press for first books of Canadian poetry. He has travelled widely in Europe, North America, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
