Clara Blackwood is a Toronto-based poet and visual artist. Her first book of poetry, Subway Medusa, was published by Guernica Editions in December 2007. Subway Medusa is the inaugural book in Guernica ’s First Poets Series. Her previous publications include the chapbooks Under the Dragon’s Tail (2003) and Visitations (2004), both published by Believe Your Own Press, and Love, virtually, published by Lyricalmyrical Press (2006). From 1998 to 2004, Clara ran the monthly Syntactic Sunday Reading Series at the Free Times Café in Toronto.
